Key Accountabilities:
• Responsible to lead and execute ELR, ER/IR strategies/agenda/action plan(s) to maintain compliance to applicable statutory requirements related to labor/staff and any internal/external inspections/audits, to ensure zero non-conformances, at all times, along with industrial peace and harmony at Company.
• Establish and maintain strong liaison with Government departments i.e. Labor, Social Security, EOBI & Welfare Board.
• Lead and manage as Management Representative (MR) in any labor case at Court(s), and/or internal inquiry committee(s), as well as, accurate advice to line management on grievance and disciplinary matters.
• Provide support to HR & Leadership Team in reviewing, revising, redesigning & evaluating organizational structures and change management from ELR/ER/IR perspectives. Support Plant Team in head-count optimization initiatives with out disruption on ELR front.
• Works closely in team with HR to develop and execute robust employee engagement plan including third party, and advice on ER interventions.
• Responsible for handling Unions, International Union Federation, Federation and pressure groups internally & externally. Also, for the formations of committee(s) under applicable Industrial Relations Act, tracking action points & ensuring timely closure of gaps.
• Responsible for benchmarking for COD perks & benefits. Responsible for preparing/developing Management COD in coordination with key departments and alignment from senior leadership. Continuously keep check on the pulse and expected demands to be raised by CBA. Leading negotiations and preparing possible options and tactical plans using Best Alternative To a Negotiated Agreement (BATNA) approach for negotiations.
• Process owner to ensure deployment of agreed demands with CBA in timely manner to avoid any ER or legal disruption.
• Manages all annual 3P labor/admin. services agreements/SLAs for the domain of HR and Plant.
• Internal assessments of Services Provider(s) on IR laws on monthly & quarterly basis.
• Extending them educational/awareness support in bringing then at par with respect to the Local Labor law, Group’s Labor standards & major human rights clauses to meets the standards of SEDEX frameworks.
• Ensure implementation and change management of any change in law /legislation on immediate basis to avoid any non-confirmatory.
